On September 7th, 2003, the WMUR-TV New Hampshire Business Report hosted by Fred Kocher invited Jim Wilson (President, JW Hedgehog, Inc.) and Jim Murphy (MindReef Software) to discuss the impact of computer viruses on New Hampshire businesses and what New Hampshire businesses can do to protect themselves.

JW Hedgehog, Inc. has created this page to supplement the show by providing links and information that we hope you will find helpful in protecting your home and business from computer viruses.

5 Steps For Avoiding Attack
  1. Never open mail attachments from anyone you do not know or were not expecting.
  2. Keep software “service packs” and “patches” up to date.
  3. Install virus software and keep virus definitions up to date.
  4. Install “firewall” software or hardware.
  5. Shutdown unused server software (Web Server, FTP, SMTP, etc.).
